Business Cards That Bloom: Designing for Sweet Pea Petals

Updated: Oct 3

There’s something magical about holding a freshly printed business card for the first time. It’s more than just cardstock with contact details, it’s a little piece of a brand, something tangible that speaks before you even say a word.

That’s why I’m so excited to share the logo and business cards I recently designed for a very special client of mine, Sweet Pea Petals by Jessica Lee.

Designing with Purpose

When I first sat down to create Jessica’s brand identity, I wanted the design to feel as authentic and organic as the work she does every day. Sweet Pea Petals isn’t just a floral business, it’s Jessica’s artistry, her care, and her ability to transform gatherings with blooms that leave lasting impressions.

The logo became the anchor, weaving together modern elegance with natural, hand-drawn touches that reflect the medium she works with: flowers themselves. The palette leans soft and welcoming, echoing the warmth and creativity she brings to her arrangements.

From Logo to Card

Business cards often serve as the first handshake of a brand. For Jessica, I wanted to make sure that the cards didn’t just “hand over” information, but also carried the essence of her floral storytelling.

  • Typography: Elegant yet approachable, just like Jessica’s personal style.

  • Color: Subtle, natural tones that complement petals rather than compete with them.

  • Details: Clean layout with enough breathing space to let the logo shine.

Together, these decisions created a timeless card that feels professional while still true to the artistry behind Sweet Pea Petals.

Why It Matters

For small businesses, especially those in creative fields, brand visuals are more than just pretty designs. They’re tools for connection, credibility, and storytelling. Jessica now has business cards that not only share her contact info but also reflect her dedication, craft, and the beauty of her work.

As a designer, projects like these remind me why I love what I do: transforming someone’s passion into a visual identity that feels both personal and powerful.

A Blooming Future

I’m so proud of how Jessica’s cards turned out, and even more proud to see her business continue to grow. If you’re in need of floral artistry that feels both heartfelt and refined, Sweet Pea Petals by Jessica Lee is one to watch. 🌸
